but i guess it didnt have the high replay factor the other games have like Initial-D and Daytona 1. I just want to talk to people about Daytona USA, but it's a mystery to me why my posts don't generate enough conversation. Basically, Daytona USA can't compete with modern Japanese sports cars. I got to see the arcade afterwards, and there were dudes playing it religiously, like DDR, ya know? Sitting around, talking with their buddies about their Toyotas and Nissans, etc. But I don't want to play Initial D, I want to play Daytona USA 2! I guess my opinions from the standard crowd. Now someone just explain to me why don't people like this game? I mean, they swapped out my game with Initial D. Rjay63, that is awful, cause they did the same thing with the Daytona 2 game in my Namco Arcade and broke the hearts of children everywhere. Too bad to hear about those Daytona 2 machines being removed.some people just don't know a good game when they see one. But they are in such bad condition it's not worth the high play price! Mad There are two other twin DLX machines in my city. Maybe a lower price could've helped (still £1 a go, same as it was in '99) but I'm just glad I played it full-time just before it went! There was also so much competion from the other racers in the arcade.
Sad Although I'm sad to see it leave, I can understand the reason why : it was an old game that didn't making enough money. Yesterday, the twin DLX Daytona 2 Power Edition was removed from Sega Park. Well, I do want the the version to match the cabinet, but I mainly wanted Battle on the Edge because I like the beginner oval course a lot more in that version.

I'd even be willing to simply swap my roms with someone else's if they have them. Does anyone here have any ideas as to where I can locate the roms for Battle on the Edge? I've been having a difficult time tracking some down, as most arcade operators seem to have simply thrown them away when they upgraded to Power Edition. I just bought a Daytona USA 2 Battle on the Edge cabinet, but it came with Power Edition.
